SQL database files

Use this window to specify the location of the SQL database and transaction log file on the SQL server drives.

Unselect the 'Let the server generate the file names' check box to manually enter the database file name. Default SQL Server rules apply when files are created once this check box is selected.

Enter the database data file full name. It must follow the SQL server rules. Data files usually come with an MDF extension.

Enter the database transaction log file full name. It must follow the SQL server rules. Transaction log files usually come with an LDF extension. See Also
