Options: Office 365 configuration tab

Use the Office 365 configuration tab to configure an access to Office 365. This tab is only available if the Organization type is Office 365 or Hybrid.

You can choose between two sets of settings that allow Promodag Reports to access Office 365 resources:

Certificate-based authentication (recommended): The permissions are those that have been granted to a custom Enterprise application published in Azure. To create this standard Promodag Reports Application in Azure AD and assign it the role it needs, see Certificate-based authentication to Office 365.
- Pros:
  - No specific user account and mailbox are required, which completely eliminates the problems of password expiration and MFA compatibility.
  - No Office 365 license is required.
- Cons: Permissions are granted through an Azure role.

User-based authentication: The permissions are those granted to the Promodag Office 365 account. For more information about the required permissions, see User-based authentication to Office 365.
- Pros: Permissions can be granted to the account in a more granular way.
- Cons:
  - An Office 365 license for a user and mailbox are required.
  - If the password regularly expires, it must be updated in this window.
  - This mode is incompatible with MFA.

Option		Description
Certificate-based authentication	Tenant name	Name of your Office 365 tenant, e.g. company.onmicrosoft.com.
	Application ID	ID of the "Promodag Reports Application" in Azure. To create this application automatically using the PowerShell script provided with Promodag Reports, follow this procedure: Certificate-based authentication to Office 365.
	Certificate file	Path to the .pfx certificate file matching the Azure application.
	Certificate password	Password defined for this certificate.
	Public folder access mailbox	Enter the email address of a Office 365 mailbox. It will be used to access public folders if applicable. The mailbox user does not need any specific permission.
User-based authentication	User name	Enter the name of a user that has been granted the View-Only Recipients, Mail Recipients and ApplicationImpersonation roles. To find how to create this user account, see User-based authentication to Office 365.
User-based authentication	Password	Enter the password for this user name.
Check PowerShell connection	Click this link to verify that a connection can be successfully established with your Office 365 tenant using PowerShell.
Check EWS connection	Click this link to verify that a connection can be successfully established with your Office 365 tenant using EWS.
Office 365 Cloud	If you have subscribed to an Office 365 GCC High or DoD plan, choose your Office 365 Cloud from the drop-down list.
Check configuration	Click this link to test your configuration in one click.
