Importing missing traffic event types from message tracking files

It can become necessary to add traffic events that you did not think of when installing the product, or to remove them because you do not need them.

Event types in message tracking files

For example, you may decide to import non-Outlook client traffic events, or on the contrary decide that public folder replication and system attendant events can be safely removed from the database (see Data source: Message tracking ).

Importing missing traffic event types

Select the relevant check box(es) in the Message Tracking tab of the Server Properties dialog box, and use the File > Import Message Tracking Data option to re-import missing events. Make sure that you select a correct date range before proceeding.

Note: Please clear partially imported message tracking files before attempting to import missing events.

Clearing unwanted traffic event types

Use the Tools > Purge Message Tracking Data option to clear unwanted events. Make sure that you select a correct date range before proceeding.
