Batch file action: Purge Imported Data

Introduction

Select this action to automatically remove imported data from the database using a batch file. You can choose to purge part of, or all existing data, such as message tracking file events, Internet Archival file events, or IIS log file events.

Option Description
Process pre-selected servers for import Use this option to implicitly select the Exchange servers you have already selected in the Import Message Tracking Data, Import IIS Data or Import Storage Size Data options on the File menu.
Select servers to process Use this option to select specific Exchange servers.

Select data purge period

Option Description
Start date Specify the beginning of the period to process. This parameter can be relative to the processing date.
Imports older than..., <n> days Select a fixed period to purge from the database, for example 365 days if you do not wish to keep more than 1 year of collected data. If you select this option from the drop-down list, the End date option is not available.
First day of the month First day of the current month. This will be valid for all selected servers.
Days before schedule, <n> days Collected data will be purged from <n> days before the task has been scheduled. This will be valid for all selected servers.
Set date... Enter an absolute date. This will be valid for all selected servers.
End date Yesterday Collected data will be purged until yesterday's date.
Today Collected data will be purged until today's date.
Set date... Enter an absolute date. This will be valid for all selected servers.
Number of days..., <n> days Collected data will be purged for the <n> days following the start date.

Select data imports to purge

Option Description
Message Tracking Files Select this check box to purge data imported from message tracking files.
Internet Archival Files Select this check box to purge data imported from Internet Connector Archival files.
Internet Information Services Files Select this check box to purge data imported from IIS log files.
Mailbox size Select this check box to purge mailbox size data imports.
Database size Select this check box to purge database size data imports.
Mailbox count per database Select this check box to purge mailbox count data imports.
Public Folder size Select this check box to purge public folder size data imports.
