The configuration file

What does the configuration file contain?

Promodag Reports stores important settings information in a configuration file whose default name is Repex.pri. This file is automatically saved while the application is closed.

The configuration file contains, among other pieces of information:

• The list of the last used databases;
• The list of the last used reports;
• The paths to directories used by Promodag Reports, as specified in the General tab of Tools > Options;
• The user interface language, as selected in the General tab of Tools > Options;
• The name of the Global Catalog server specified in the Directory Connection tab of Tools > Options;
• The user account and password used to connect to the directory, if you use a specific account;
• The email address specified in the EWS Connection tab of Tools > Options;
• The user account and password used to connect to Exchange using EWS, if you use a specific account;
• The name of the SMTP server specified in the Email and Notifications tab of Tools > Options;
• The user account and password used to connect to the SMTP server, if applicable;
• The name of the Exchange server specified in the PowerShell Connection tab of Tools >Options;
• The user account and password used to connect to Exchange using PowerShell, if you use a specific account.
• The Office 365 admin credentials specified in the Office 365 configuration tab of Tools > Options ,if applicable;
• The email address used to send reports and notifications as specified in the Email and Notifications tab of Tools > Options;
• The type of Exchange organization as defined in the Organization Type tab of Tools > Options;
• The user account and password used to connect to SharePoint as defined in the Export tab of Tools > Options, if applicable;
• The SQL database to which the reports can be exported, if applicable.

All passwords are encrypted using 3DES.

How do I see my file extensions?

To see your file extensions, hold the Windows key and press R to bring up the Run... dialogue, then type "control.exe folders" and press "OK". This will open the Folder Options window.

In the Folder Options window, select the View tab and then uncheck Hide extensions for known file types.
